There are two things that you can do to make it collecting your blood sample easier:
1. Make sure your hand is throughly warmed before beginning. To do this, we recommend putting your hand in a bowl of warm water (the temperature of a hot bath) for 2-3 minutes. This helps to improve the blood flow, making it easier to collect the sample.
2. The best place to prick your finger for easy blood flow is at the side or tip of your finger pad.
Don't use the lancet in the middle of your finger tip — the skin here is thicker and the blood won't flow as easily.
WellBeing by Drop comes with three lancets, so if you don't get enough blood with the first finger prick, you can try again.
Before pricking your finger in a new location, be sure to warm your hand again to help the blood to flow easily.
